OUR VISION is to collectively and collaboratively care for our environment into the future.

OUR MISSION is for the connections and partnerships that we have formed between local communities and agencies to continue to attract investment, to foster gains in knowledge and drive actions that support sustainable development. Such work will lead to the wise use of natural resources, healthy ecosystems and resilient communities..

OUR AIM is to realise this through a model of delivery that supports and empowers communities to deliver the outcomes set out in state and regional landscape plans while simultaneously building community health, wellbeing, connections and resilience.

Our Centres are committed to developing community skills and resilience through our inspiring environmental education activities. Our collective impact, which extends back over the past 25 years, has been significant, with over 20,000 participant attendances and over 400 events annually.

We conduct workshops and information sessions about everything from local biodiversity and sustainable land management practices, to water wise gardens and low waste lifestyles.

We run native plant nurseries, coordinate revegetation projects, support community gardens, run sustainability-themed social enterprises and community arts projects, and a wide variety of other innovative environmental and community development initiatives.

Foundation funding for the GAEN centres is proudly provided by the Government of South Australia through Green Adelaide.

Each centre also works in partnership with a diverse range of local environment and community groups, businesses, and Local, State and Federal Government agencies.

As individual centres, and as GAEN collectively, we actively seek out new partnerships and funding opportunities, and are more than happy to have conversations about potential collaborations.
